What Will You Do

Job Purpose (the Challenge)

To lead the delivery of Mobility service globally, ensuring that secondments are deployed on time, structured in line with policy, whilst ensuring tax and visa compliance, executed in line with governance and whilst providing customers with an excellent experience of Mobility. To support delivery of change projects within the overall change programme and ongoing continuous improvement of Mobility.

Key Deliverables

Strategic Leadership

  1. Act as part of the TA leadership team contributing to the strategy for Talent Acquisition.
  2. Continuously monitor and benchmark the market and competitor’s performance to identify opportunities to improve or outcompete.

Mobility Leadership

  1. Business Engagement: partner with Talent Partners to engage the Business Units to understand needs and translate this to effective Mobility solutions.
  2. Customer Experience: ensure that all Business Leaders, Hiring Managers and Secondees have an excellent experience with Mobility.

Mobility Service Delivery: day-to-day management of service delivery to customers.

  1. Ensure that all Mobility Partners have manageable workload, follow process and deliver to the agreed standards and metrics.
  2. Support customers setting up new secondments to ensure they are aligned to policy, optimized for tax and regulatory compliance.
  3. Support Mobility Partners and customers to solve problems in a way that achieves the goals of Mubadala, Human Capital and the Customer.
  4. Personally, lead and manage Mobility projects where required.

Mobility Operations: together with VP TA Operations and Projects ensure the effective running of key activities that enable the Mobility Service.

  1. Invoicing (Secondees Out) where secondee costs are cross charged accurately and on time.
  2. Manage the monthly and quarterly cycles of invoicing.
  3. Ensure that invoices are paid promptly and minimizing debtor days.
  4. Payroll: manage shadow payrolls in host countries ensuring secondee payments are accurate.
  5. Global Health Insurance: oversee selection, service delivery and invoicing of health insurance of secondees overseas.
  6. Technology: ensure Mobility solution is configured and operating correctly.

Mobility Advisory: provide value to the team in delivering advice and insight to support structuring of secondments and ensuring tax, visa compliance and risk mitigation.

  1. Tax Advisory: leveraging 3rd party advisors to ensure that tax structuring, cost projections for individual secondments are valid and annual submissions to the relevant tax authorities are completed.
  2. Visa Advisory: leveraging in country lawyers to ensure visa applications are valid and compliant.
  3. Business Travel Advisory: monitor business travel for instances where frequent travel may cause tax liability.
  4. Management Information: provide relevant and insightful MI to support operation of Mobility and communications to customers and stakeholders.
  5. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and leverage industry and market developments to improve performance.

Stakeholder Management

  1. Drive internal partnership with key Mubadala stakeholders (Division Heads & Leadership, Human Capital, Procurement, Finance, Business Services, Technology).
  2. Drive partnership and ensure service delivery from 3rd party delivery partners – Tax, Relocation, Visas Services, Global Healthcare.

People Leadership

  1. Ensure all people are motivated and engaged with the mission of Mubadala and the transformation.
  2. Coach and develop Mobility Partners to perform at the right level and improve their capability to deliver the service.
  3. Ensure that all resources have the right levels of capability, certifications and are utilized correctly.

Governance

  1. Ensure all people are managed fairly in line with Mubadala policy.
  2. Ensure compliance with all impacting regulations and governance, address any potential deviations immediately.

What Will You Bring

Education & Experience

  1. Degree Educated.
  2. Approx. 10+ years’ experience in Human Capital for large multinational companies, with complex operations ideally in the investment, real estate, financial services sectors.
  3. 5 plus years leadership experience managing people to deliver human capital services in the UAE.
  4. Proven ability to lead small teams to deliver services in complex and dynamic circumstances and deliver the agreed objectives.
  5. Good understanding of the key elements of a Mobility and best practice. (Demand Planning, Policy & Process, Tax, Visas, Secondment Agreements, Relocation, Healthcare).
  6. Capable to engage and manage relationships with clients up to C level.
  7. Experience of working in dynamic and changing business scenarios.
  8. Proven ability to lead teams across culture, inspire, motivate and to develop the capability and performance of their people.
  9. Excellent spoken and written English.
