Vice President - Corporate Communications

JOB PURPOSE

The VP Corporate Communications will be a part of the Group Corporate Communications Team with direct responsibility for the Aldar Development communications workstream; Aldar Development is a master developer of a strategic landbank, creating integrated and thriving communities across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Ras Al Khaimah’s most desirable destinations.

The role’s scope includes supporting the objectives of Aldar Development, elevating the Abu Dhabi / Aldar ‘living’ narrative, and maximizing the positive exposure of the company’s developments in local and international markets.

The candidate will ensure consistency of communications related to Aldar Development’s business in line to the corporate strategy and Aldar brand.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Develop strategy to build awareness of Aldar’s key developments and destinations in local and international markets through a series of campaigns, partnerships, and media / influencers activities

•Lead on development and execution of communications plans that focus on the ‘living’ component of:

1. Key destinations in Abu Dhabi

2. New development launches in UAE

3. Strategically important development launches in Egypt and UK

•Create new opportunities to tell the Abu Dhabi / Aldar residential story, including coordination with Abu Dhabi entities and partners to ensure that a consistent story is told about the emirate.

•Develop a curated FAM trip programme and other activities for international media and influencers to showcase the living aspect of Abu Dhabi intertwining Aldar’s developments.

•Work closely with Aldar’s sponsorship team to activate local and international opportunities with media and influencers based on the partnerships we currently hold.

•Lead on the development of new communication plans to support Aldar Development initiatives and projects, as and where required.

•Work with local and international agencies to implement and manage communication plans around Aldar’s latest development launches and key residential stories of note.

•The candidate will also be responsible for Aldar Development communication needs related to construction, logistics, and sustainability as well as core corporate communications initiatives such as crisis and other projects.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

RELATED YEAR OF EXPERIENCE:

Min of 10+ years of relevant experience in Communications within a large multi-cultural company.

YOE IN MANAGERIAL POSITION:

Min of 2+ years of managerial experience in a related field

FIELD OF EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience working directly for a real estate company or as an agency consultant is preferable.

A mix of corporate and lifestyle communications experience would be beneficial.

TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple agencies and stakeholders.

Ability to work within a team and independently.

Expertise in influencing Exec level stakeholders.

Proven ability to identify opportunities and deliver effective strategies to generate results.

Excellent writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Experience with international media

Strong understanding of real estate sector and Abu Dhabi real estate market dynamics

QUALIFICATION

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or economics

MBA or equivalent is required
