JOB PURPOSE
The Vice President of Cloud Management and Architecture will spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive cloud strategy. This role involves leading the architecture and management of cloud infrastructure, ensuring alignment with the organization's technology goals and business objectives.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Vision and Roadmap:
Develop a comprehensive cloud strategy that integrates with the overall IT and business strategy.
Create a roadmap for cloud initiatives, ensuring they support long-term business objectives. - Cloud Architecture Design:
Architect a scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure that meets the organization's needs.
Oversee the migration of applications and services to the cloud, ensuring minimal disruption. - Cloud Service Management:
Manage relationships with cloud service providers to ensure service levels are met.
Negotiate contracts and manage costs to align with budgetary constraints. - Leadership and Team Development:
Coach a team of architects and DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Mentor team members and develop their skills in cloud technologies and best practices.
RELATED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 12 years of experience in IT operations management in a large and diverse group, preferably in a Managed Services delivery model.
YOE IN MANAGERIAL POSITION
Min of: 10+ years of experience in cloud management & architecture. 4+ years as a manager.
FIELD OF EXPERIENCE
Large multinationals, Commercial industries, Real Estate.
TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
- Proven leadership in cloud architecture and strategy.
- Strong understanding of cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and providers (Microsoft preferred).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
- Proven track record of effective vendor management and partnership.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with all levels of staff and management.
QUALIFICATION
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
