Veterinary Nurse

A Veterinary Nurse provides support to veterinarians in providing medical care for animals. They assist in surgeries, administer medications, perform laboratory tests, handle animals, and educate pet owners on proper care and treatment.

Responsibilities

1. Assist veterinarians in examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
2. Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians.
3. Perform laboratory tests and analyze samples.
4. Handle animals with care, ensuring their safety and comfort.
5. Monitor animal vital signs and provide post-operative care.
6. Educate pet owners on proper nutrition, medication, and preventive care.
7. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure patient confidentiality.
8. Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of medical equipment and facilities.

Minimum Requirements

1. Veterinary Nursing certification or degree.
2. Knowledge of animal anatomy, diseases, and medications.
3. Experience in handling and caring for animals.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
