Vehicle Quality Control Specialist

Job Purpose:

The role involves overseeing and managing the Quality Control (QC) team to ensure vehicles and processes meet quality standards and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate should have leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to implement quality assurance protocols. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify, prevent, and resolve quality issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and guide the QA/QC team in daily operations.
2. Assign tasks, set goals, and monitor performance.
3. Conduct training to upskill team members on quality standards.
4. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
5. Oversee pre-delivery inspections (PDI) to ensure that vehicles meet the required standards.
6. Develop and monitor quality assurance policies and procedures.
7. Conduct audits to identify areas for improvement.
8. Review and approve incident reports, recommending corrective actions.
9. Ensure accurate documentation of inspections, reports, and metrics.
10. Maintain compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
11. Prepare and present reports on QA performance to senior management.
12. Work with Logistics, Warehouse, and Sales teams to address quality-related issues.
13. Liaise with the Procurement team to ensure vendors meet quality standards.
14. Lead initiatives to enhance quality processes and reduce defects.
15. Implement quality tools and technologies to streamline operations.

Skills Required:

1. Strong automotive knowledge of quality control standards and methodologies.
2. Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
3. Data analysis capabilities to generate actionable insights.
4. Proficiency in MS Office and QA tools; ERP knowledge is a plus.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Attention to detail and multitasking ability.

Position Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in quality assurance, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Certification in Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma) is a plus.
3. Familiarity with Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) processes.
