Urgent requirement for Medical Underwriter and Motor Underwriter

Job description will be as per respective function of Motor and Medical.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate medical/Motor information to determine risk and eligibility for insurance coverage.
• Review and assess medical records, test results, and other relevant documents to make underwriting decisions.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals, policyholders, and insurance agents to gather additional information and clarify medical details.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies during the underwriting process.
• Calculate and determine appropriate premium rates based on risk assessment and underwriting guidelines.
• Assist in the development and implementation of underwriting guidelines and procedures.
• Conduct research and stay updated on medical advancements, industry trends, and underwriting best practices.
• Closely collaborate with other departments such as claims, sales, and legal to resolve underwriting issues and provide support.
• Provide guidance and support to junior underwriters in their daily tasks and professional development.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of underwriting decisions and processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 2-8 years of experience in medical underwriting or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance principles, and underwriting guidelines.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate complex medical information and make sound underwriting decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with medical professionals and insurance agents.
