Citi Commercial Banking Credit Lending Management (CLM) - Credit Analyst Join Citi's Commercial Bank in Dubai as a CLM Credit Officer and contribute to the healthy growth of the credit portfolio! Credit Lending Management (CLM), in the 1st Line of Defense, houses and consistently manages credit risk activities performed across its Citi Commercial Banking organization. CLM's objective is to provide integrated end-to-end credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management, and monitoring for Commercial Bank credit risk. The CLM function provides analysis, greenlight, underwriting, first-line-of-defense credit approval, and subsequent credit monitoring for Commercial Banking businesses. The CLM Credit Analyst within the Middle East is responsible for all underwriting activities, in partnership with Coverage, Product, and Risk. This role reports directly to the Middle East CLM Head.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Executes, aligned with global and regional strategies, all responsibilities regarding underwriting, including, but not limited to:
Adoption of leading practices in credit analysis, underwriting, and monitoring, including the end-to-end underwriting process, from early origination discussions to development of credit approval memos and senior approval forums.
Ensure Credit Approval Memo (CAM) packages are complete and accurate.
Continuous assurance of health and appropriateness of the credit clients' risk profile, including conducting Early Warning and Risk Management activities.
Detailed reviews of financial data, projection modeling, stress testing, and perform other in-depth analysis.
Responsible for on-time completion of annual reviews, quarterly credit reviews, and any ad-hoc reviews of existing customers.
Follow daily market updates and news, internal reports and relate them with assigned credit portfolio/pipeline for analysis.
Facilitate relationships with key clients in Banking and Risk and with key control functions.
Support the MET CLM Head's strategic initiatives/projects.
Support VOE initiatives.
SPECIFIC RISK EXPERIENCE:
Experience in and exposure to global credit risk management standards.
Experience in structuring bilateral credit agreements, knowledge of complex credit products.
Ability to provide strategic insights and strong sensitivity to macro and regulatory issues.
Proven ability to effectively engage with internal control functions including Internal Audit and Fundamental Credit Risk as well as with external audit.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's/University degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, or Economics.
5+ years risk/risk-related credit work experience in banking/financial institutions.
Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic.
Strong knowledge of accounting and its practical application in the credit underwriting process.
Strong understanding of the Commercial Banking Business and Market.
Experience in effectively engaging with internal control functions including Internal Audit and Fundamental Credit Risk as well as with external audit.
Advanced presentation skills adept at presenting effectively to audiences of various sizes and various constituencies.
