Are you an aspiring Civil Engineer interested in marine structures, port developments, and coastal engineering? AECOM is offering an Undergraduate Ports & Marine role providing hands-on experience, exposure to cutting-edge marine infrastructure projects, and a pathway to a full-time Graduate position after graduation.

About the Role
As an Undergraduate Ports & Marine Engineer, you will work alongside industry professionals contributing to complex marine engineering projects. You will gain practical experience in structural, geotechnical, and coastal engineering, working with advanced design tools and software to develop critical maritime infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Learn designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, and project models under the guidance of senior engineers.
  2. Assist in design tasks applying engineering principles and technical knowledge to ensure quality outputs.
  3. Work with BIM models, collecting and analyzing interdisciplinary project data.
  4. Utilize software tools to solve fundamental engineering problems.
  5. Coordinate with other engineering teams for integrated project development.
  6. Participate in design progress and coordination meetings.
  7. Check and ensure the quality of BIM/CAD models and technical drawings.
  8. Contribute to problem-solving by applying theoretical knowledge to real-world engineering challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Completing a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, ideally with a focus on one or more of the following disciplines:
    • Structural Engineering
    • Geotechnical Engineering
    • Coastal Engineering
    • Marine Engineering
    • Ocean Engineering
  • Expected Graduation: 2026 (final-year students).
  • GPA: Applicants should have a minimum GPA of 2.8 (or equivalent) to be considered.
  • Start Date: Rolling window from March to May 2025.
  • Duration: 12 months from start date.
  • Eligibility: As part of AECOM's commitment to Emiratisation and in compliance with UAE labor law, only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.
