About The Role

As an Undergraduate Electrical Engineer at AECOM, you will join our Building Engineering team in the UAE. This role provides students pursuing an electrical engineering degree with the chance to gain valuable experience at a distinguished multinational company and contribute to significant projects in the region. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical power flow and distribution principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and use industry-standard applications to perform lighting calculations and power distribution analysis for building engineering projects.
• Develop and use spreadsheets to solve technical issues or automate production procedures.
• Conduct engineering design tasks under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Create design calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under supervision.
• Coordinate design work with other disciplines in a collaborative environment.
• Engage in self-learning through AECOM University’s extensive eLearning resources.
• Collect and analyze data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Use computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
• Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Qualifications:

• Education: Pursuing an Electrical Engineering Degree.
• Expected Graduation: 2026 (final-year students).
• GPA: Applicants should have a minimum GPA of 2.8 (or equivalent) to be considered.
• Start Date: Rolling window from March to May 2025.
• Duration: 12 months from start date.
• Eligibility: As part of AECOM’s commitment to Emiratisation and in compliance with UAE labor law, only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.
