Join our Utilities team as an Undergraduate Electrical Engineer where you'll gain hands-on experience contributing to real-world projects that power communities and support essential infrastructure systems.

About the Role
As part of our Dry Utilities team, you'll work on projects involving the design of power and extra-low voltage (ELV) networks, substations, street lighting, and related infrastructure. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers, gaining valuable insights and developing skills to thrive in the electrical engineering field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Support: Assist in developing designs, calculations, sketches, and diagrams for power and ELV networks, substations, and street lighting systems.
  • Technical Application: Apply engineering principles and technical knowledge to ensure high-quality design outputs within project timelines.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with team members to track project milestones, prepare reports, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Software Utilization: Learn CAD and engineering software to solve fundamental engineering problems.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with engineers from other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of electrical components into broader infrastructure projects.
  • Learning & Development: Seek opportunities to enhance knowledge, participate in meetings, and contribute to innovative solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Pursuing a Civil Engineering Degree.
  • Expected Graduation: 2026 (final-year students).
  • GPA: Applicants should have a minimum GPA of 2.8 (or equivalent) to be considered.
  • Start Date: Rolling window from March to May 2025.
  • Duration: 12 months from start date.
  • Eligibility: As part of AECOM's commitment to Emiratisation and in compliance with UAE labor law, only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.
