UI/UX Designer

The ideal candidate should be a passionate and curious design specialist who can deliver high-quality designs and prototypes, and thrive in a fast-paced, innovative, collaborative and delivery-focused environment. They enjoy being hands-on throughout the design lifecycle and thrive delivering designs that focus on delighting customers and improving their experiences. They can manage team and stakeholder relationships and are comfortable working within a distributed team environment.

The job holder will work closely with our clients other designers across their Tribes, to ensure a consistent UX and design experience across our digital product suite. They will be guided by the business and UX priorities, and work with the UX team and product stakeholders to deliver to those priorities.

Success for this role is defined by the quality of the customers experience, the consistency of deliverables, and ability to work successfully as a team, and the teams contribution to the Business KPIs.

Key Result Areas

1. Design and deliver product visualisations, with input from Designers, Product Owner and Engineers.
2. Work with the Senior UX Designers, Product Owners, and Engineers to develop customer journeys, service blueprints, story maps, task flows, wireframes, prototypes and designs that will deliver against the customer and business needs, product vision and objectives.
3. With the UX Researchers to conduct user research and use the outcomes from research activities to drive design decisions and facilitate learnings across the Tribe designers, Product Owners and Engineers.
4. Understand and help to define personas, user journeys and service blueprints.
5. Explore solutions and refine concepts going from early wireframes to high-definition designs.
6. Build prototypes to help validate and communicate designs.
7. Identify and conduct user interface experiments in collaboration with other Tribe designers and Product Owners; analyse data from real life experimentation, including user testing.
8. Collaborate with other designers within and across the Tribe to problem solve design challenges and maintain a level of design consistency across our digital suite.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

1. 4+ years in a Product Design role in a high-performing agile organisation.
2. Passionate about UX and Design and driven by doing the right thing for customers and end-users.
3. Solid knowledge of visual design principles.
4. Workshop planning, design, and facilitation, both in-person and remote.
5. Knowledge of UX research methods and the ability to plan and conduct both qualitative and quantitative research.
6. Communicating research insights through the creation of journey maps, personas or archetypes, service blueprints, wireframes, and prototypes.
7. Advocating for UX Design practices and processes.
8. Experience of working with design systems, and with design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Miro.
9. Team player with a positive attitude who genuinely cares about working as part of a team and helping others.
10. Strong written and verbal communications skills in English and Arabic.
11. Knowledge of Banking, Fintech or Investment is a bonus.
