The Purpose of This Role: This position uses magnetic resonance and radiofrequency pulses & dynamic function imaging in accordance with statutory regulations in order to examine how the body & organs function and deliver the results to the Radiologist. Responsibilities include:

  1. Use evidence-based practice and clinical guidelines to produce high-quality images for a range of imaging procedures.
  2. Be aware of safeguarding policies, both local and national, and implement such policies should it become necessary.
  3. Assess clinical conditions, prioritize health problems, including initiation of effective emergency care.
  4. Ensure that patients are prepared for their procedures and have been given all the relevant information required before the need for imaging.
  5. Manage own client caseload including the interpretation of test results with referral to physicians as necessary.
  6. Provide emergency care to patients as necessary and attend annual resuscitation training.
  7. Have the ability to authorize referrals for primary imaging whilst ensuring that the procedure is justified and escalate any concerns that may arise.

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

  1. MBBS or MBChB or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution AND completion of specialty qualification recognized by Dubai Health Authority or Health Authority of Abu Dhabi or Ministry of Health UAE.
  2. Appropriate experience and competence in all aspects of Internal Medicine.
  3. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, doctors, nurses, and other clinical staff.
  4. Certification in Basic and Advanced Life Support.
  5. Fluency in English, speaking, reading, and writing; Arabic speaking skills will be an added advantage.
  6. Excellent computer literacy skills are required.
  7. Publications in peer-reviewed journals will be well regarded.
  8. Graduate Degree in Medical Imaging/Radiography.
  9. Must hold a current DHA/HAAD/MOH licensure.
  10. Minimum 2+ years experience as Radiology Technician.
