Job description

Truck driver in Ajman, UAE

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Truck driver to transport goods around Ajman. The successful candidate must have a valid driving license and experience in driving long distances. The driver will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods to the designated destination on time, while maintaining an excellent safety record. This position provides a competitive salary of 1800 AED per month.

Requirements for the Candidate:
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  1. Valid UAE driving license with at least 3 years of heavy truck driving experience
  2. Ability to read maps and navigation systems
  3. Ability to plan routes efficiently, taking into account traffic, delivery times and weather conditions
  4. Good physical condition and stamina for long hours behind the wheel
  5. Great communication skills with other drivers and customers on delivery sites
  6. Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations
  7. Able to work independently with minimum supervision

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
The Truck Driver is responsible for:

  1. Driving trucks from one location to another in a safe manner, adhering to all speed limits, regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
  2. Inspecting truck before each journey to ensure it is running properly; checking oil, water levels, brakes etc.
  3. Securing cargo during transit by using straps or chains according to load weight.
  4. Keeping records such as vehicle logs, delivery records etc., as required by law.
  5. Assisting with loading/unloading where necessary; may require lifting heavy objects up to 50 lbs (22 kg).
  6. Maintaining cleanliness of truck at all times; keeping it presentable when on delivery runs or when meeting customers.
