Treasury Accountant

Job Overview:

The Kanoo Group is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Treasury Accountant to join our Shipping division in Dubai. This role is pivotal in managing regional treasury functions, overseeing payments, allocations, and cheque handling, and ensuring efficient banking operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage inward/outward entries and regional receipt allocations on a daily basis.
• Coordinate with the Credit Control team for accurate postings, allocations, and customer queries.
• Oversee treasury payments and bank uploads before approvals.
• Review and process cheques through the ICCS system.
• Prepare daily bank remittance reports across all regions.
• Support cash forecasts, bank guarantees, and performance bonds.
• Act as custodian of post-dated cheques and ensure timely deposits.
• Provide backup for Bank Reconciliation Statements.
• Handle petty cash operations and reimbursement procedures.
• Support Treasury Manager with H2H process, bank communications, and system improvements.
• Execute month-end/year-end treasury operations and resolve payment issues.

Key Requirements:

• 5 to 8 years of treasury experience in Shipping, Logistics, FMCG, or Manufacturing sectors within the UAE/GCC.
• Familiarity with SAP (FIORI/S4 HANA) and involvement in finance-related SAP projects is preferred.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce (Accounting) or a related field; Treasury qualifications are a plus.
• Strong analytical, forecasting, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a detail-oriented approach.
• Team player mindset with the ability to drive process improvements.
