Tray Fitter
Job description
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine installation requirements.
- Install and assemble tray systems including cable trays and support structures in compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct inspections of tray installations to ensure quality and adherence to industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to discuss project progress and any potential issues.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of existing tray systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Document work performed and report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior fitters and apprentices as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school & ITI.
- Proven experience as a Tray Fitter or in a similar role within the oil and gas construction industry.
- Strong understanding of tray installation techniques and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools relevant to tray fitting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Additional Information:
- May require working at heights or in confined spaces.
- Overtime may be required based on project demands.
