Job Summary: The Travel Desk Sales Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and driving sales of travel-related products and services. This role involves understanding customer needs, offering tailored travel solutions, and ensuring a seamless booking experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for travel, and a strong sales acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person promptly.
- Provide detailed information about travel destinations, accommodations, tours, and transportation options.
Sales:
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate travel products and services.
- Upsell and cross-sell additional travel services, such as travel insurance, car rentals, and excursions.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
Booking and Reservations:
- Assist customers with booking flights, hotels, car rentals, and other travel-related services.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of reservations and payments.
- Handle changes, cancellations, and special requests efficiently.
Product Knowledge:
- Stay updated on travel industry trends, new destinations, and promotional offers.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of travel products and services offered by the company.
- Attend training sessions and workshops as required.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain and update customer records and booking information in the company's database.
- Prepare and distribute travel itineraries and documentation.
- Handle travel-related documentation, such as visas and insurance policies.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
- Follow up with customers after their trip to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback.
- Address and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with colleagues and management to achieve team goals and objectives.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving sales strategies and customer service.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. A degree in travel, tourism, hospitality, or a related field is a plus.
Experience: Previous experience in sales, customer service, or the travel industry is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in using travel booking systems and CRM software.
