Transportation Operations Manager (Logistics)

About the Role

We are seeking a Transportation Operations Manager to lead and optimize our last-mile delivery and transportation network in the UAE. This role will be responsible for managing fleet operations, optimizing delivery routes, ensuring service quality, and driving cost efficiency while maintaining compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Transportation & Fleet Management

• Oversee daily transportation operations, ensuring smooth execution of last-mile delivery and distribution services.
• Manage and optimize fleet utilization, routing, and scheduling to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Implement strategies to enhance on-time delivery performance and reduce transit delays.

Operational Excellence & Cost Control

• Analyze transportation costs, fuel consumption, and fleet maintenance expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop and implement performance KPIs to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Leverage technology and automation to improve delivery tracking, driver productivity, and overall logistics performance.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure full compliance with UAE transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Monitor fleet insurance, vehicle registration, and driver licensing to ensure legal and regulatory adherence.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks, including delays, accidents, and service disruptions.

Team Leadership & Vendor Management

• Lead and manage the transportation team, including drivers, dispatchers, and logistics coordinators.
• Oversee relationships with third-party logistics providers, transport vendors, and suppliers to ensure service reliability.
• Drive continuous training and performance development for the transportation team.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience:5+ years in transportation/logistics operations, preferably in last-mile delivery, e-commerce, or supply chain management.

Education:Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.

Skills & Expertise:

• Strong understanding of transportation planning, fleet optimization, and route management.
• Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics software.
• Experience in cost control, budgeting, and vendor negotiations.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Language:Fluency in English is required; Chinese is a plus.
