Transportation Operations Manager

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to lead and oversee our local UAE deliveries and cross-border GCC operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring smooth transportation processes, optimising costs, and delivering on profitability targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in P&L management, substantial experience with a Transport Management System (TMS), and excellent leadership qualities.

Key Responsibilities

Transportation Operations Management

• Oversee and coordinate all local UAE deliveries and cross-border GCC operations.
• Ensure on-time delivery performance while meeting quality and compliance standards.
• Manage relationships with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to streamline processes.

P&L Management

• Develop and implement strategies to meet financial targets for the transportation division.
• Monitor budget performance, analyse variances, and take corrective actions to optimise profitability.
• Provide regular financial reports and forecasts to senior management.

Transport Management System (TMS)

• Implement, monitor, and enhance TMS utilisation for all transport activities.
• Ensure data accuracy, generate actionable insights, and drive continuous improvement in TMS workflows.
• Train and mentor team members on best practices for TMS usage and compliance.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse logistics and transportation team.
• Foster a collaborative, results-driven environment, ensuring clear communication of goals and responsibilities.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify training needs, and support professional development.

Cost Management & Efficiency

• Continuously review and optimise transportation strategies to minimise costs without compromising service quality.
• Implement efficiency improvements and cost-saving initiatives, leveraging data and market insights.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve favourable terms.
