Trainee-General Accountant (Emirati National only)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Trainee General Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with data entry tasks, primarily using Excel, and supporting various accounting activities. This role is perfect for individuals with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and at least 1 year of practical work experience.

Reports To

The Trainee General Accountant reports to the Financial Controller working in the Finance Department.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist in data entry tasks using Excel spreadsheets and accounting software.
• Support the financial controller in daily accounting tasks and month-end closing activities.
• Prepare financial reports, invoices, and related documentation under supervision.
• Help maintain financial records and ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with other team members to accomplish departmental goals and objectives.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned, such as filing, scanning, and organizing documents.
• Follow all company procedures related to quality, safety, health, energy & environment.
• Support selected finance development activities.

Preferred Skills & Requirements

• Graduate in finance or accounting or similar degree.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in accounting/finance related tasks.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Hands-on attitude and willingness to work under pressure during the monthly closing.
• Ability to perform given tasks independently and within deadlines.
• Analytic way of thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with PowerBI is considered an advantage.
