Roles and responsibilities

• To provide a professional range of skin services for our clients compliant with salon protocol and accepted documented practices.

Job Requirements

  1. High school qualification
  2. Industry certification
  3. Minimum 2 - 3 years working as a therapist in a salon or spa
  4. Brand knowledge of Lycon
  5. Up to date knowledge of hair removal practices

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Welcome and greet every client in a warm and friendly manner and demonstrate excellent customer service at all times.
  2. Perform a range of skin services as directed in the salon brochure.
  3. Provide a full consultation to identify any health or skin problems before carrying out services.
  4. Identify the needs of the client by asking questions and confidently recommend services and products that are appropriate.
  5. Explain the steps of the service for each stage of the process to ensure client confidence.
  6. Handle client questions and concerns effectively and with empathy.
  7. Manage client complaints professionally and efficiently in line with the company after sales policy, escalating to management if necessary.
  8. Uphold municipality standards of hygiene and salon policies and procedures for all treatments.
  9. Build relationships with clients and record all technical service information for future reference.
  10. Be knowledgeable regarding all products used in the skin department.
  11. Perform all technical services following brand guidelines to achieve the desired result.
  12. Recommend products for after care and additional retail purchases to supplement the service.
  13. Maintain a professional relationship with the clientele.
  14. Coordinate with receptionists to have maximum number of appointments per day.
  15. Manage client retention with Book Back process.
  16. Encourage client referrals to achieve a full day column in line with working days and productivity growth.
  17. Maintain personal grooming standards at all times enhancing the image of the industry and Profile brand.
  18. Care for all tools and equipment ensuring sterilization process is always of the highest levels.
  19. Perform prep and cleaning of the treatment room after each client to obtain a quality work environment.
  20. Report to management any concerns in connection with the skin department and/or client services requiring attention.
  21. Use recommended amounts of salon use products to assist with cost control.
  22. Attend planned trainings as necessary to update skills.
  23. Update by self-learning to be aware of latest practices.
  24. Check stock levels daily and inform manager of depleting stocks as per individual technician needs.

Desired candidate profile

1. Client Assessment and Evaluation

  1. Initial assessments: Conduct initial assessments of clients to understand their issues, concerns, and goals, whether they are physical, emotional, or psychological.
  2. Diagnosis: Depending on the specialty, therapists may diagnose conditions, disorders, or physical limitations through interviews, assessments, and medical history reviews.
  3. Goal setting: Work with clients to set realistic treatment goals and expectations that align with their specific needs.

2. Providing Therapeutic Treatment

  1. Individual therapy: Offer one-on-one sessions tailored to the client’s needs, whether physical or psychological.
  2. Group therapy (for mental health or physical rehabilitation): Lead or facilitate group therapy sessions where clients can share their experiences and work on healing together.
  3. Develop treatment plans: Create personalized treatment plans and schedules to guide the therapeutic process and track client progress.
  4. Therapeutic techniques: Utilize specific techniques relevant to the area of therapy (e.g., cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for mental health therapists, or manual manipulation and exercises for physical therapists).

3. Client Support and Guidance

  1. Emotional support: Provide emotional support to help clients cope with their physical or mental health issues, offering strategies to manage stress, anxiety, or depression.
  2. Encouragement: Offer encouragement and motivation to clients throughout the treatment process to help them stay committed and reach their goals.
  3. Education: Educate clients about their condition, treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery or improvement.

4. Documentation and Reporting

  1. Progress notes: Maintain accurate and detailed records of client sessions, progress, and outcomes.
  2. Treatment adjustments: Adjust treatment plans as necessary based on client progress and feedback.
  3. Confidentiality: Ensure that all records and information about clients are kept confidential in line with legal and ethical standards (such as HIPAA compliance in healthcare settings).

5. Collaboration and Referrals

  1. Collaboration with other professionals: Work closely with other healthcare providers, such as doctors, specialists, or psychologists, to ensure integrated care and treatment for the client.
  2. Referrals: If necessary, refer clients to other specialists for additional support (e.g., referrals to a psychiatrist, physical therapist, or nutritionist).

6. Continuing Education and Professional Development

  1. Stay updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest therapeutic techniques, research, and trends in the field through professional development, conferences, and additional training.
  2. Certifications and licenses: Maintain relevant certifications or licenses required to practice, which may involve continuing education or periodic re-certification.
