Test Technician

Job Summary

BASEC, part of Kiwa is seeking a Test Technician to join their team based in Dubai. In this role, you'll perform Mechanical, Electrical (M&E), and Chemical testing within defined competencies and authorisations, ensuring we deliver first-class quality testing services to our clients. About The Role

1. Collaborate with colleagues, Lead Test Engineer, and Lab Administration team to schedule and manage testing.
2. Check the performance and calibration status of test equipment, ensuring compliance with required specifications.
3. Conduct M&E and Chemical testing independently, once competent.
4. Provide updates to the Lead Test Engineer/Lab Administration team on test progress, delays, or non-compliances.
5. Assist in the maintenance and operation of the lab, lab equipment and testing processes.
6. Manage workload effectively and collaborate with colleagues to optimise lab resources.
7. Adhere to quality, safety, and legislative requirements within the lab.
8. Support internal and external audits, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Do you have what it takes

1. Diploma/Degree in Engineering or Science, or equivalent.
2. Proven experience in a testing laboratory or engineering environment.
3. Proficiency in using laboratory testing tools and instrumentation.
4. Excellent attention to detail.
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
6. Proactive mindset with a strong work ethic.

What can you expect from us in return

1. Salary AED 123,809 per annum.
2. 45 hours per week - This is a lab-based role, located in Dubai.
