Test Engineer

Education:

1. Degree, Post graduate in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent industry experience)

Experience:

1. Minimum 5 years of coding and automation testing experience in JavaScript technologies.
2. At least 1 year hands-on in TypeScript.
3. Experience in Automation Testing Techniques and Tools e.g., Playwright / Cucumber / Appium / Selenium.

Technical Skills:

1. Excellent knowledge in development and testing scalable and highly available Restful APIs / Microservices using JavaScript technologies.
2. Able to create end-to-end Automation test suites using Playwright / Selenium preferably using BDD approach.
3. Practical experience with GraphQL.
4. Well versed with CI/CD principles, and actively involved in solving, troubleshooting issues in distributed services ecosystem.
5. Understanding of containerization, experienced in Dockers, Kubernetes.
6. Exposed to API gateway integrations like 3Scale.
7. Understanding of Single-Sign-on or token-based authentication (Rest, JWT, oAuth).
8. Possess expert knowledge of task/message queues including but not limited to: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Pushpin and Kafka.

Functional Skills:

1. Experience in following best Coding, Testing, Security, Unit testing and Documentation standards and practices.
2. Experience in Agile methodology.
3. Effectively research and benchmark technology against other best in class technologies.

Soft Skills:

1. Able to influence multiple teams on technical considerations, increasing their productivity and effectiveness, by sharing deep knowledge and experience.
2. Self-motivator and self-starter, Ability to own and drive things without supervision and works collaboratively with the teams across the organization.
3. Have excellent soft skills and interpersonal skills to interact and present the ideas to Senior and Executive management.
