To support the Legal Manager with a number of legal, compliance, data-privacy and administrative duties.
Key Result Areas & Responsibilities:
Legal Responsibilities: Working with key areas of the business, assist with reviewing, drafting, and amending a range of commercial/business contracts (customers, suppliers, and service providers), offer/proposal, tender review, and bid application. Perform legal research and provide general support to Legal Manager and various departments, such as but not limited to HR related matters, customer contract interpretation/implementation, inter-company agreements, corporate matters. Manage a variety of side projects and topics.
Compliance Responsibilities: Assisting the Legal Manager in day-to-day activities in various aspects of Compliance, such as but not limited to due diligence screening of business partners, managing the sales partner application and agreements, drafting and amending agency and distributor agreements, ensuring all guidelines and policies are applied in day-to-day business (procurement, gift & invitation, export control).
Data Privacy Responsibilities: Assisting the Legal Manager in day-to-day activities in various aspects of Data Privacy, such as but not limited to deletion process and organization's record of processing activities (RoPA), in accordance with the GDPR.
Job Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor degree in Law (strong academic credentials LLL and/or LLB).
LLM preferred but not mandatory.
Member of a European and/or North American Bar association.
Must have minimum 4+ years of experience.
Strong and lengthy experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of legal concepts.
Profound commercial and contractual understanding with focus on exceptional client service.
Good project management experience and skills (planning, reporting, processes).
Strong communication skills and capability in managing workload.
Excellent team player with good soft skills for use in cross-functional and international teams.
Expertise in negotiation techniques, contract law, contract drafting and negotiation, software licensing agreements.
Strong multi-tasking skills and detail-oriented.
Ability to work with challenging individuals/organizations.
English mandatory and French preferred but not mandatory.
