We are seeking to engage a qualified Consultant with UAE Electricity industry/Projects experience with strong understanding of local regulations to provide techno-commercial support and project management for our retail electricity distribution project in Ras Al Khaimah.
The selected consultant will play a pivotal role in driving the successful execution of this project by combining technical expertise with commercial acumen to ensure a seamless transition from agreement finalization to operational readiness.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review techno-commercial and financial aspects of the Bulk Supply Agreement including recommendations to ensure compliance with local technical standards or regulatory requirements.
Support in framing Service Level Agreement and identifying risks, hidden costs, potential penalties, and additional charges associated with it.
Support in modeling network connection costs for customers, including connection charges, infrastructure costs, and regulatory fees to enable benchmarking with grid supplier’s connection costs as required.
Assist in bridging the gap between customers’ technical requirements and Company’s understanding of the connection/switching process to grid supplier including but not limited to energy efficiency and optimization of infrastructures/existing captive generations.
Understanding of techno-commercial requirements under the agreement including but not limited to assessment of Load Factor and Power Factor requirements for the project/individual customers.
Project management support (Project Management Engineer with UAE power industry experience) e.g. operationalization, commercial structuring, technology setup, SLA management, customer service frameworks etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, or Supply Chain Management, or Law, Engineering, or a related field required.
A Master’s Degree or professional certification is preferred.
MCIPS (Level 4 or 5) – required
PMP – preferred.
Experience in Electricity industry and bulk supply agreements is required for this role.
Experience reviewing and assessing claims for high value complex contracts.
