Technician - Mechatronics
Job description
Responsibilities
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of various workshop equipment such as servo-drive systems, automated welding, cutting equipment, etc.
- Repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of power units’ electro-mechanical systems.
- Maintain housekeeping of the workplace at required standards.
- Ensure appropriate use of tools and machinery, preventing excessive wear and tear and breakdowns.
- Report any malfunction of tools and machinery to the immediate supervisor.
- Take initiative to pursue self-development through on-job training/education.
- Follow day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
- Work within allocated timescale to meet department targets.
- Attend any training for activities required by the department.
- Maintain good housekeeping in all work areas.
Qualification & Experience / Skills
- ITI electronics with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Electro-Mechanical experience with software (PLC).
- Knowledge and experience in ship repair and new building yard.
