Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Technician/Maintenance Assistant to join our maintenance team. This position is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn and develop technical skills in equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting. Working closely with our experienced technician, you will assist in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment, while gaining valuable on-the-job training.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in Preventive Maintenance: Help with routine inspections, servicing, and upkeep of machinery, equipment, and facilities to prevent breakdowns and extend service life.
2. Repair and Troubleshooting Support: Aid the lead technician in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing faulty equipment and systems.
3. General Maintenance Tasks: Perform general maintenance duties, such as replacing filters, belts, and other consumable parts, as directed by the lead technician.
4. Tools and Equipment Handling: Learn to use and maintain various tools and equipment safely and effectively.
5. Documentation and Reporting: Assist in recording maintenance activities, documenting work orders, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
6. Inventory Management: Support in tracking and maintaining stock levels of parts, tools, and materials.
7. Safety Adherence: Follow all safety procedures and protocols while performing maintenance tasks to ensure a safe working environment.
8. Collaboration: Work alongside the lead technician to complete projects and tasks in a timely manner, learning best practices and improving problem-solving skills.

Skills & Qualifications:

1. Basic Technical Knowledge: Some experience or coursework in mechanics, electrical systems, or general maintenance is a plus, but not required.
2. Willingness to Learn: Eagerness to develop technical skills and take on more responsibility over time.
3. Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve simple issues, with guidance from senior staff.
4. Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions accurately and ensure maintenance tasks are completed to high standards.
5. Physical Stamina: Comfortable with manual labor, standing, lifting, and working in various conditions.
6. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
7. Team Player: Ability to collaborate well within a team and support colleagues when needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Basic experience with power tools and hand tools.
2. Familiarity with facility maintenance procedures or machinery operation.
