Technician - Laboratory (CONCRETE TECHNOLOGY) (T-LT)

Contract : 6 Month contract (with possible extension - immediate start)

About the Role :

An innovative fintech - financial platform in the MENA region is looking for a dedicated Payments Specialist to join its Operations team. This role is key to providing seamless support for both local and international transactions, ensuring high-quality service while working in a fast-paced, agile environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in payments, a strong understanding of UAE banking regulations, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a pioneering team transforming digital banking in the region.

Key Responsibilities :

• Transaction Processing : Handles local and foreign currency transactions, and manages any payment-related investigations.
• Query Resolution : Responds to inquiries from other banks, raises RFIs (Requests for Information) with clients, and addresses Transaction Screening and Monitoring alerts related to payment transactions.
• Customer Interaction : Engages with customers to provide assistance and resolve issues, ensuring an excellent standard of customer service.
• Process Improvement Collaboration : Collaborates with product and technology teams to suggest and implement improvements in payment processes, enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency.
• Internal Team Support : Works closely with internal teams to resolve customer issues efficiently.

Required Qualifications and Skills :

• Strong background in local and international payment processes, investigation, and dispute management
• Familiarity with UAE Central Bank regulations for payments
• Knowledge of SWIFT and related processes
• Experience in cheque processing (preferred)
• Excellent problem-solving skills, especially in situations where processes may not be clearly defined
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex procedures for customers
• Proven teamwork abilities and capacity to support colleagues in a high-energy environment
• Flexibility and adaptability in a startup environment, with a passion for continuous learning
• Fluency in spoken and written English is essential
• Arabic language proficiency is a plus
