Technician – Smart Home Automation, CCTV, ELV, Physical Security

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Technician specializing in Smart Home Automation, CCTV, ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems, and Physical Security. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of fieldwork experience in residential and commercial projects in the United Arab Emirates, with strong expertise in structured cabling, system installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Smart Home Automation systems, including lighting control, HVAC integration, audio-visual systems, and smart home platforms.
• Design and deploy CCTV systems, including IP and analog cameras from brands such as Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, and Samsung.
• Execute projects involving ELV systems, including structured cabling, data networks, intercoms, and access control.
• Implement and troubleshoot physical security systems, including access control, intrusion detection, and perimeter security solutions.
• Perform structured cabling for data, voice, and video systems to ensure proper infrastructure for ELV and automation solutions.
• Conduct site surveys to evaluate requirements, develop solutions, and ensure adherence to client specifications.
• Provide technical support, routine maintenance, and system upgrades.
• Train end-users on installed systems and ensure post-installation support.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and local regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of field experience in residential and commercial projects, particularly in the UAE or a similar market.
• Proven experience in structured cabling (e.g., Cat6, fiber optics, and other low-voltage cabling systems).
• Hands-on expertise in Smart Home Automation systems (e.g., KNX, Crestron, Control4, or similar platforms).
• Proficiency in installing and configuring CCTV systems and video management platforms (e.g., Smart PSS, QVR, VioStor, Milestone).
• Strong knowledge of ELV systems, including cabling, networking, and intercoms.
• Familiarity with leading security and automation brands, including Hikvision, Dahua, Samsung, and Axis.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on-site.
• UAE driving license is preferred.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Structured Cabling Certifications: BICSI Installer/Technician or equivalent.
• Smart Home Automation Certifications: KNX Partner Certification, Crestron Certified Technician, Control4 Certification.
• CCTV Certifications: Hikvision Certified Security Associate (HCSA), Dahua Technology Certification Program (DTCP), Axis Certified Professional (ACP).
• Networking Certifications: CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or similar IT/networking credentials.
