Job description

Albatha Automotive Group is seeking a dynamic and result-driven Technical Training Manager with expertise in automotive aftersales. This pivotal role involves conducting comprehensive gap analyses of technical staff, designing and implementing targeted training interventions to upskill and cross-train employees. The training program will enable the technical staff to improve productivity and quality KPIs. The incumbent will collaborate closely with external training vendors to assess their offerings and engage them as required, supporting Pitstop Autocare and Autoworks in becoming a trusted, ethically driven brand known for quality, transparency and excellence in the UAE automotive aftersales market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver training programs in line with Gap Analysis.
  • Maintain and update the organization's technical knowledge database.
  • Manage the overall technical training program for the organization from scheduling to measuring results.
  • Conduct practical, on-the-job training for workshop staff in collaboration with team leaders and workshop managers.
  • Provide technical support and solutions for the teams.
  • Monitor Training KPIs and derive measures based on results.
  • Address technical inquiries from customers, when required.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure adherence to training/service standards.
  • Coordinate requirements of the technical tools with the management.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team culture aligned with organizational goals.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review operational and training performance.
  • Advocate for quality standards and personal development within the team.
  • Effectively manage personal time, productivity, and adherence to ethical business practices.
  • Stay abreast of outside training opportunities for business personnel and arrange for training as needed.
  • Compile data and training requirements to prepare budgets and justify requests for funds.
  • Formulate training policies, programs, and schedules based on knowledge of identified training needs, individual department processes, business systems, or changes in products, procedures, or services.
  • Organize and develop training manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
  • Conduct new employee orientations (on training), safety seminars, and other training required by the Group/Government.
  • Stay abreast of new developments, methods, and techniques in the training field.

Education:

  • University degree in Automotive Technology or Engineering.
  • Advanced automotive or engineering coursework.

Experience Job & Industry:

  • 6-8 years automotive hands-on experience, technical experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years technical trainer experience.
  • Superior presentation and speaking skills.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, spelling, grammar, and composition skills.
  • Excellent overall understanding of automotive technology and repair.
  • Natural leadership ability; team player with a consensual approach.
  • Superior organization, communication, and reporting skills.
  • Systematic thinker; ability to work at conceptual and detail levels.
  • Advanced PC skills with an accent on Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
  • Self-directed, requiring limited supervision.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Completion of certified technician program is an advantage.
