Job Title: Technical Support Engineer – MENA
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent position
Overall Objective for The Role: The Technical Support Engineer role is important to the success of the region by providing timely and accurate technical support to the regional sales teams, channel partners and customers across all the market segments. Ensuring that all stakeholders are provided with clear and comprehensive technical information regarding the product and or solution offered to meet the customer’s requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering accurate and timely product proposals.
- Providing technical support and know how.
- Producing effective MUSIC models.
- Securing drawing approvals promptly.
- Working closely with the project fulfilment teams to ensure that all products are delivered on time and to specification.
- Supporting installations as and when required.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil Engineering (ideally), or Mechanical, Environmental or other related engineering disciplines may also be considered.
- Strong Fluency in English (written and spoken). Other languages will be advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
- Experience in CAD.
- Strong communication skills, including the confidence to make calls and engage effectively with others.
- Must hold a valid passport.
- Demonstrable capability to present technical information verbally and in a written format.
- Ability to work across cultures and collaboratively.

Role Requirements:
- Preparing proposals, price quotations and technical specifications for Hydro’s products in a timely and accurate manner.
- Providing timely, detailed technical support to customers and channel partners throughout the specification selection, tendering and post installation process.
- Attending customer meetings/presentations and performing demonstration programs aiding to securing new business.
- Working closely with the sales teams and channel partners on bid preparation and technical proposals.
- Ensuring proper documentation for technical data is generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
- Maintaining an expert level of product knowledge and applications.
- Supporting channel partners by providing product training, technical advice, installation and O&M guidelines and resolving customer technical enquiries in a manner that is consistent with the company mission, values, and financial objectives.
- Identifying appropriate products for selection for potential new projects and advising on the technical detail and considerations.
- Establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with stakeholders across all channel partners, engineering companies, customers and within the company.
- Proactively taking ownership of the regional technical issues, to support projects and co-ordinate with the company’s technical teams when required for a quicker issue resolution.
- Working with the post-order team to prepare detailed cost estimates, facilitate project pricing and to support the delivery of products/projects in time in accordance to specification.
- Providing on-site installation and after sales support to channel partners, contractors and or consultant engineers as and when required.
- Maintaining accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts and correspondence in company approved databases.
