What you’ll achieve

As a Technical Staff, Platform Architect, you will have the opportunity to participate in the development of next-generation large-scale AI Infrastructure including accelerated compute, AI fabrics, and AI optimized storage. You will engage with high-profile AI customers to optimize solutions for their applications and tune the system for maximum performance. Be responsible for driving innovation at the datacenter level with liquid cooling technologies and power density. You will develop long-term technology strategies based on the technical and business information you maintain, where the strategy is developed with knowledge from the industry, marketing, development, manufacturing, procurement, and customer input.

You will:

1. Participate in internal and industry forums where appropriate and act as a point of escalation for critical development issues.
2. Take the lead in shaping future products and provide expertise on multiple technologies/products.
3. Be responsible for owning multiple technologies or highly complex technologies.
4. Lead strategic technical forums and meetings on a regular and consistent schedule and development and systems engineering as required when working on tactical/time-to-market development issues.

1. 12+ years of professional experience with AI Compute and Storage platforms along with accelerator ecosystem from a hardware and software perspective with a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
2. Solid understanding and knowledge of AI compute design, network architecture & storage including the ability to develop automation scripts for validation, configuration, and benchmarking.
3. Ability to develop long-term technical relationships with the vendor base for the core technology or solutions to create a technical interface, driving those requirements into next-generation vendor designs which includes maintaining a database of multi-year vendor/partner roadmaps with detailed feature trade-offs and ensuring roadmap alignment by hosting regular ongoing technology reviews with the vendors/partners to ensure alignment with Dell business objectives.
4. Experience identifying, developing, and communicating differentiation opportunities, providing technical information, and making recommendations to marketing, procurement, engineering, customers, and business executives.
5. Ability to understand competitive and business needs while developing technical solutions including the ability to travel to assess customer requirements & develop blueprints based on customer geographical area.
6. Advanced degrees or technical certifications.
