About the role

Bloom Holding is looking for an experienced Technical Reviewer to join our established and growing team in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

You will be responsible for overseeing the project progress to ensure high-quality processes and design submissions across all stages of Architecture and Interior Design. This includes conducting technical reviews, documenting design changes, ensuring procedural compliance, and adhering to regulatory standards in Abu Dhabi and be an expert in authority regulatory compliance in Abu Dhabi.

Some specific responsibilities for this position:

• Lead and support architectural and interior design (ID) activities, including conducting technical reviews, documenting design modifications, ensuring procedural compliance, and adhering to regulatory standards in Abu Dhabi (AUH).Closely manage authority approval logs, submissions, and resubmissions to ensure all necessary project permissions are secured in a timely manner.
• Supervise audits and lead investigations into quality deviations within project documentation, identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, and tracking necessary change notices.
• Accountable for technical design reviews, ensuring coordination among various disciplines, and collaborate with other departments to obtain necessary approvals for architectural, engineering, and ID drawings and specifications at each design stage.
• Develop and maintain analytical and documentation standards that align with industry best practices and comply with Abu Dhabi authority requirements.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on regulatory compliance in Abu Dhabi, ensuring all activities meet local authority standards.
• Produce accurate in-house design test fits and studies for architectural/ID purposes, ensuring timely approval by department heads.
• Collaborate with the deliveries team to supplement project information, track progress, and mediate to resolve any information gaps across multiple projects.
• Act as the go-to expert for local vendors related to architectural and ID functions, providing necessary information throughout the design and build process.
• Maintain a comprehensive record of architectural and design consultants submissions, ensuring timely control and receipt of all related correspondence.
• Ensure compliance with Bloom's processes for in-house architectural reviews and design consultants work, including deviation monitoring, analysis, and implementation of remedial actions.
• Manage and coordinate multiple stakeholders, demonstrating the ability to build robust, long-term relationships and foster integrated teams.
• Regularly coordinate with the Executive Director - Design to ensure satisfaction with architectural and interior design aspects of projects.
• Organize regular meetings with the Executive Director - Design, architects, and Head of MEP Division to review standards, procedures, and address project-related design issues.
• Work closely with consultants and internal engineering teams to ensure comprehensive design review and effective coordination.

Requisite Qualification, Education, and experience

To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field, with 8 to 10 years of experience in space planning and design documentation. You must possess strong expertise in QA/QC processes, ensuring meticulous record-keeping and thorough review of reports submitted to regulatory authorities. An in-depth understanding of building permits, construction details, and relevant regulations and quality standards is essential. Proven experience in the UAE, particularly with the authority approvals process in Abu Dhabi, is crucial.
