Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Procurement Officer to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing technical goods, particularly heavy equipment spare parts (both new and second-hand) and machinery-related services, including sourcing reputable and capable service providers. This role requires an in-depth understanding of technical specifications to meet company standards in quality and cost-effectiveness.

The Technical Procurement Officer will be responsible for establishing and maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and contracts, and collaborating with other departments to meet all technical procurement needs. This role requires strong communication and negotiation abilities, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for technical goods and services, including heavy equipment spare parts and machinery services.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost-effective procurement.
• Maintain and manage supplier relationships, assessing performance to ensure standards are met.
• Ensure all purchased products and services meet company quality and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with workshop and production teams to understand technical requirements and specifications.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, including pricing and supplier performance data.
• Monitor industry trends and advancements to make informed sourcing decisions.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost and operational efficiency.
• Resolve any supplier issues or discrepancies related to deliveries.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products, especially in the second-hand market (Sharjah).
• Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities and performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and UAE regulations.
• Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for timely delivery and inventory management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical) or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Technical Buyer or in a similar procurement role.
• Strong understanding of the second-hand market, particularly the Sharjah Second Hand Market.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects efficiently.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• High ethical standards and integrity.
• Valid UAE Driving License.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Fujairah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
