Technical Interior Designer

As the Technical Interior Director, you will be responsible for leading the technical aspects of all hospitality interior design projects, ensuring that design visions are executed flawlessly and in line with client specifications. This senior role requires a deep understanding of the technical requirements for large-scale luxury hospitality projects and the ability to guide teams in the delivery of complex, high-quality projects across multiple locations.

You will work closely with senior designers, architects, contractors, and project managers to provide leadership and technical expertise throughout the entire project lifecyclefrom concept development to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical design process for hospitality projects, ensuring the seamless integration of design intent and technical feasibility.
• Oversee and manage the coordination of all technical documentation and drawings, ensuring they meet industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
• Manage the technical team and collaborate with interior designers, architects, engineers, and consultants to solve complex technical challenges.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all technical matters, including building codes, materials, and construction techniques.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members, promoting a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.
• Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest standards of quality.
• Manage relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth communication and successful project delivery.
• Review and assess design proposals, offering technical insights and solutions to enhance project feasibility.
• Coordinate with international teams and ensure adherence to local codes and regulations for international projects.

Requirements:

• Experience: At least 10 years of experience in technical interior design within the hospitality sector, with a proven track record of leading large-scale international projects.
• International Experience: Extensive experience working on hospitality projects in multiple international locations, with knowledge of local building regulations, materials, and construction practices.
• Education: A degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities with a collaborative approach.
• Technical Expertise: Exceptional knowledge of technical drawing, detailing, construction processes, and materials. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a solution-oriented approach to technical challenges.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, contractors, and design teams across various cultures and time zones.
• Flexibility: Willingness to travel internationally as required, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
