Mott MacDonald are currently looking to recruit a Building Services Leader to manage and develop our Mechanical Electrical and Public Health (MEP) Building Services engineering capability in the UAE.
As well as being a technical leader in the field you will demonstrate strong strategic and commercial acumen, with a focus on delivery of excellence and an ability to develop high profile relationships. You will have significant experience in the planning, design and development of Building services designs, covering the full spectrum of project types in the Built Environment.
Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:
Responsible for technical delivery of projects.
Responsible for growing part of the business.
Demonstrate technical leadership in the application of modern, sustainable building services designs.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the market, help capture new opportunities, direct the bid process to ensure we produce powerful, attractive, compliant and competitive proposals.
Participate and contribute to the Company’s Building Services Practice network.
Develop the MEP capability through engagement with employees to encourage new innovative thinking and manage performance.
Identify capability gaps within the building services practice and develop improvement plans with staff training and recruitment.

Industry standard software skills, including hands-on knowledge of BIM and other digital platforms.

Using leadership skills to build and nurture relationships and provide career paths within an effective working environment.
Able to manage multiple teams with diverse backgrounds on geographically and culturally diverse teams.
Candidate specifications:
Candidates should ideally be CEng registered with a membership of a recognised professional institution such as IET, CIBSE or international equivalent.
Significant experience operating at this level.
Leadership of multidisciplinary teams including MEP, structures, and Architecture.
Maintaining high levels of corporate governance on projects.
Proven track record in growing and developing an MEP team.
Proven negotiating and influencing skills at an executive level.
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Previous experience in managing and delivering technical excellence into significant projects, understanding and managing budgets, resources and a strong commercial acumen.
