Position: Technical Authority (Process)

Job Description

ROLE/PURPOSE: The Technical Authority of Process Technology is responsible for providing Process Discipline specific guidance on all design and technology matters related to Concept & FEED activities coordination and Front End works during enquiry/projects, ensuring compliance with established programs and procedures. The role also includes initiating and guiding in-house development activities involving guidelines/procedures to strengthen discipline capabilities and undertaking troubleshooting activities during various phases of project.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Technical authority/decision maker for the Process related matters.
  2. To safeguard the Technical Integrity and Quality of Services provided by Process Engineers.
  3. To raise Quality awareness within the Process team and ensure compliance with Engineering Manuals/Procedures.
  4. To ensure Implementation of relevant Best Engineering Practice/Lessons Learnt and drive for continuous improvements within Process team.
  5. To ensure Compliance with Quality Management procedures and technical requirement objectives in all aspects of the Engineering work performed by Process team.
  6. Checks all project drawings, documentation, calculations, Material Requisitions, technical evaluations, and manpower estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  7. Proposes execution strategy for engineering scope and project associated tasks.
  8. Supports Procurement activities/vendor pre-qualifications.
  9. Supports Engineering Manager in Resource management of Process Engineers.
  10. Supports Engineering Manager on Quality systems, and Development & updating procedures.
  11. Supports Engineering Manager on Performance Reviews of Process Engineers.
  12. Attends project progress/technical meetings with Client to report on activities/resolves technical issues.
  13. Attends design review meetings to provide advice and expertise on Engineering aspects.
  14. Attends Value Engineering Workshops.
  15. Compliance in accordance with Company policies & procedures.

Skills Required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  1. B.Sc. in Chemical/Petroleum Engineering.
  2. 15 years Engineering experience in the oil and gas industry; covering Concept, FEED, EPC and Troubleshooting activities.
  3. Thorough Technical knowledge of all relevant Process technology used in Oil and Gas Industry.
  4. Proven supervisory track record with strong management potential.
  5. Planning and organizing skills.
  6. Influencing skills.
  7. Thorough understanding of all Engineering disciplines.
  8. Knowledge of applicable Engineering software.
  9. Good command of written and spoken English.
  10. Good technical knowledge and skills.
  11. Good Communication skills.
