Technical Advisor (TA)

Liebherr Middle East FZE is responsible for sales and service of construction machinery and maritime cranes of the Liebherr Group in the Gulf region. This includes specifically mobile and crawler cranes, the complete range of earthmoving equipment, tower cranes and concrete equipment, duty cycle crawler cranes as well as material handling equipment in the maritime field.

Responsibilities include:

1. Handling of enquiries
2. Technical support of customers, engineers, the service stations, and of the sales department
3. Forwarding of service information
4. Assuring that safety relevant service information’s are installed/followed
5. Quoting of upgrades, services and non-standard solutions (like new parts without Id. No., lifting aids, etc.) including follow up and evaluation of not received orders
6. Pro-active approach of services/customers support, offering of crane upgrades
7. Technical support of warranty and goodwill cases
8. Arranging of service attendances in co-ordination with Customer Services Coordinator
9. Project controlling and co-ordination
10. Issuing and checking of stage invoices
11. Planning of engineer pool in co-ordination with Customer Services Coordinator
12. Preparation of project-specific documentation such as method statements, risk analyses, etc.
13. Monitoring of debtors accounts and active collection of outstanding invoices together with accounts department
14. Journal duty at weekends and bank holidays
15. Checking and follow up of work reports
16. Checking and signing of hour reports
17. Filing of project or work-specific correspondence like certificates, data, protocols, paperwork, measuring protocols, MDE Data, MOM’s, emails, etc.
18. Support of commissioning jobs in the area of the service station
19. Working according to rules with internal software

Competencies:

1. Completed technical apprenticeship (mechatronic or a combination of electric, electronic, mechanic, and hydraulic technologies)
2. At least 6 years’ experience as a Field Service Engineer
3. Experience with HS/LR/FE machines would be an advantage
4. Experience with part lists, preparing quotes, and order administration
5. Demonstrated initiative to visualize, organize, manage, and complete projects in individual and group setting
6. Ability to interface with all levels of staff
7. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
