Perform fundamental auto maintenance and care procedures like fluid level checks, tire rotations, and oil changes.
Brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors, and other components can be repaired and replaced.
Conduct standard upkeep and general mechanical work on vehicles.
Ready to acquire additional certification if necessary.
Willingness to learn through practical experience.
Ensure that the repair shop is organized and clean.
Maintain a professional demeanor.
Requirements
- Experience repairing cars and engines or auto mechanic education is required.
- Required are ASE certifications.
- Possess an active driver's license.
- Completed an associate's degree program in auto repair and maintenance.
- Possess the ability to conduct oneself professionally and offer helpful customer service.
- To keep accurate records, one must read, interpret, and transcribe data.
- Carry out regular upkeep and other tasks in a hurried setting.
- May lift up to 50 lb. of weight in objects.
- Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Lube technician experience, or be willing to undergo on-the-job training.
- Knowledge of car air conditioning systems.
- Possibility of using the diagnostic tools.
- Diesel engine knowledge, heavy equipment experience, diesel mechanic experience, or the willingness to undergo on-the-job training.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
