Job description

As a Team Manager, you will be responsible to support and manage a sales team within a specified cluster. You need to have the ability to guide the team to success whilst keeping your finger on the pulse and being commercially aware of what is happening in the market.

In this role, you will:

  1. Manage a team of Sales Account Managers to achieve area targets.
  2. Set monthly targets for the team (Sales Account Managers for existing business).
  3. Monitor team performance and motivate them to achieve team and individual targets.
  4. Track and maintain records of team sales, payments, and account reviews.
  5. Be involved in hiring for the team/area according to the profile.
  6. Train team members on sales techniques, product upselling, and cross-selling.
  7. Source feedback to marketing, operations, and tech teams for enhancing product effectiveness, client issues, and concerns.
  8. Collect customer feedback and conduct market research, channeling it internally for effective measures and follow-ups.
  9. Verify agency data/numbers in the respective area to analyze growth opportunities and determine recruiting needs.
  10. Establish, maintain, and expand the customer base through effective team management and allocation of new agencies to the existing team.
  11. Keep track of agency pools and verified agency data in their area. Source feedback to and from operations and the sales team for effective planning and execution.
  12. Stay up to date with competitors’ products and packages.
  13. Maintain a high level of relevant domain knowledge in order to have meaningful conversations with prospects.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree.
  2. Valid UAE license required.
  3. Minimum of 6 years sales experience and a minimum of 2 years of people management experience.
  4. In-depth understanding of business, financials, products/services, the market, and the needs of assigned accounts.
  5. Strong knowledge of the local market.
  6. Strong knowledge of sales processes, with competence displayed in challenging sales scenarios.
  7. Demonstrates an expert level of objection handling tactics and identifies real objections.
  8. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  9. Problem solver with excellent decision-making skills.
  10. Hands-on attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Proactive approach to finding solutions.
  12. People-oriented.
