WHAT'S THE ROLE

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Team Leader - Utility Services to supervise the Electrical team, including technicians and handyman, ensuring the efficient maintenance and operation of facilities within the company. Reporting to the Utility Manager, you will assist in the planning and execution of operations, helping to meet key targets and maintain budgetary control. The role requires a strong focus on operational excellence and effective team management to ensure the smooth running of events and facilities.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE

  • Provide support to the Electrical Supervisor on all technical matters related to event services, ensuring smooth operations and effective troubleshooting during events.
  • Act as the representative for the Electrical Supervisor during their absence, maintaining continuity and addressing any immediate needs.
  • Oversee the preparation of defect notifications, monitor progress, and assess the effectiveness of remedial works, ensuring any outstanding issues are rectified promptly by contractors.
  • Communicate effectively with various teams and stakeholders, using strong interpersonal skills to address technical matters and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external customer complaints related to technical issues during events, providing timely solutions.
  • Assist the Electrical Supervisor in planning and coordinating preventive maintenance for all electrical systems and equipment used during events, ensuring reliability and safety.
  • Manage electrical workshop activities, including the production of monthly reports on repaired items, associated costs, and cost-saving estimations.
  • Comply with and contribute to fire safety and emergency procedures within the scope of responsibility, ensuring safety standards are consistently met.
  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness, strictly adhering to company policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

WHAT YOU NEED IS:

  • Tradesman's Certificate and Diploma in Electrical Engineering required for managing event-related electrical systems.
  • Excellent Communication and Reporting Skills in English, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • 10+ years Experience in exhibition stand management and as an Assistant Supervisor.
  • Ability to Interpret Electrical Circuit Diagrams and event floor plans to ensure smooth technical operations.
  • Proven leadership skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and problem-solving in fast-paced event environments.
