About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader to join our Food and Beverage Team in Jumeirah Saadiyat Island Resort. The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing the day-to-day activities of the team.
  • Motivating and guiding the team to achieve organizational/departmental goals.
  • Developing and implementing a timeline to achieve targets.
  • Delegating tasks to team members.
  • Leading the team by example, demonstrating compassion, honesty, and integrity.
  • Ensuring all personnel, clients, and their guests are greeted and attended to professionally.
  • Briefing staff regarding duties before shifts.
  • Compiling duty rosters and advising on changes.
  • Preparing reports and maintaining appropriate filing systems.
  • Managing stock, inventories, and vendor contracts.
  • Submitting purchase orders and ensuring proper expense management.
  • Reporting operational problems or irregularities to the Supervisor.
  • Handling guests’ enquiries and complaints professionally.
  • Ensuring adherence to compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Conducting regular checks and audits to maintain high service standards.
  • Carrying out any reasonable job requests made by management.

About you:

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Up to 2 years of experience, preferably with an international hospitality company.
  • Experience of working in an international capacity and understanding cultural differences.
  • Exposure to working with a multi-cultural team.
  • Excellent listening skills and customer orientation.
  • Adaptability and appreciation of cultural diversity.
  • Experience with Micros Cashiering system.
