Friendly Early Childhood Center in Dubai is currently seeking a highly motivated Teaching Assistant to inspire and be part of a great team.
We are looking for candidates who possess relevant attested degree/qualifications in Teaching/Nursing/Childcare (Level 2 or above). Ideal candidates will have a nursery background and previous nursery/school experience, preferably with experience in implementing the British EYFS Curriculum. Our teaching staff is known for their passionate dedication to each and every child in our care.
We are seeking experienced Teaching Assistants who possess a warm, empathic personality and align with our values. A minimum of 2 years of experience working with all age groups is required. This is a chance to join a friendly and dynamic team environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field /CACHE Level 2 (fully attested in the UAE and home country)
- Experience working with young children in a nursery or early childhood setting.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development theories, methodologies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish effective relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Familiarity with UAE cultural values and an understanding of cultural diversity.
Main Responsibilities:
- Providing a healthy and safe learning environment for children
- Ensuring that the children are happy and safe
- Coming up with ways to engage all the children, especially those who might have special or sensory needs
- Communicating information to children through play
- Working side by side with the Class Teacher/Supervisor/Head Nurse as part of a work team.
- Assisting Teachers in preparing the lesson materials and school equipment
- Supervising group activities, sport events and field trips
- Source learning materials for the Class Teacher/Supervisor
- Getting the classroom ready for the day and clearing away afterwards to maintain a safe and clean environment
- In the absence of the supervisor, oversee play activities (for example reading, cooking, music, dancing, etc.)
- Assist with the development of children's personal/social and language abilities taking note of observations/next steps/working wall
- Supporting the development of children's basic skills, including physical coordination, speech and communication
- Encouraging children's development through stories, songs, games, drawing, and imaginative play
