Job Description

Aldar Education is seeking outstanding Arabic Teachers (UAE National) for Muna British Academy in Abu Dhabi commencing in the academic year 2025-26.

Since our establishment in 2009, we have upheld a strong reputation for excellence, earning and maintaining an Outstanding ADEK rating since 2015. Beginning in August 2025, Muna British Academy will be relocating to a brand-new campus in the prestigious Saadiyat Lagoons community. This move will allow us to expand our offerings, welcoming students from FS1 to Year 7 initially and to Year 13 in the future, providing a state-of-the-art environment to support our mission of delivering outstanding education.

Responsibilities

Teaching and learning:

1. Demonstrating a clear understanding of the Curriculum for effective implementation to match learning outcomes.
2. Teaching using appropriate MOE syllabus, materials, and schemes of work.
3. Organizing the classroom provision and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive and engaging learning environment.
4. Planning, preparing, and presenting sessions that cater to the needs of the whole ability range within the class.
5. To plan MOE lessons and sequences of lessons consistently and effectively, in the long, medium and short-term, to meet pupils individual learning needs.
6. Creating a climate for learning that is conducive to delivering outstanding practice.
7. Motivating students by delivering enjoyable and creative lessons that both challenges pupils and promotes critical thinking.
8. Observing and assessing pupils in line with school assessments.
9. Being reflective of the classroom provision, sessions taught, progress made, and adjusting environment, planning and curriculum to reflect this.
10. Supporting SEN (POD), EAL and G&T students and ensuring that their needs are met through differentiation.
11. Meeting with other professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, if required, to best cater to diverse learning needs of pupils.
12. Facilitating Hybrid / Distance Learning / Face to Face lessons.
13. Ensure the Muna Academy language for learning and attitudes are being embedded throughout the curriculum.

Assessment and data:

1. Taking responsibility for student progress of the class. Consistently and effectively making use of data relating to student's prior attainment to set well-grounded expectations/targets for pupils, monitor their progress and to give clear and constructive feedback.
2. Meeting requirements for assessments and recording students development using Target Tracker.
3. Using data gathered from assessments to inform decisions regarding further planning, provision, and interventions.
4. Providing feedback to parents and carers on students progress and development at Parent Teacher conferences and meetings (PTMs).

Behaviour management and duties:

1. Follow the school's established policies and procedures, e.g., behaviour, code of conduct and child safeguarding policy.
2. Manage classes effectively, using approaches which are appropriate to students needs in order to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
3. Maintain good relationships with pupils, exercise appropriate authority, and act decisively, when necessary, within the school's established policies.
4. Be a positive role model and demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values, and behaviour, which are expected of pupils.
5. Have high expectations of good conduct, promoting self-control and independence of all learners.
6. To ensure a safe and secure environment that allows for appropriate social, emotional, and academic growth for all students.
7. Carry out duties as directed and within the school's established policies.

Wider professional responsibilities:

1. To work as part of a curriculum action group, supporting planning, assessment, resources, and special events linked to the team.
2. Support in organizing and taking part in school events, outings and extra-curricular activities (ECAs) which may take place after school hours.
3. Communicate effectively with parents/carers with regards to student's achievements and well-being using school systems/processes such as CPOMS, as appropriate.
4. Make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school.
5. Run a weekly ECA each term.

Take initiative of own professional development to secure high quality teaching and for successful execution of roles and responsibilities.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in education, specializing in Arabic Language and/or with a post teaching qualification.

Minimum Experience:

1. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a similar role.
