Tax Manager, Arabic Speaking

Role Summary:
The Tax Manager will oversee and support tax compliance, advisory, and planning functions across the GCC, Egypt, and Lebanon. This role is essential for ensuring the organization’s adherence to tax regulations, optimizing tax efficiency, and minimizing risks. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in direct and indirect taxation, as well as transfer pricing within the GCC region. Proficiency in Arabic is a must.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the timely and accurate filing of direct and indirect tax returns in GCC, Lebanon, and Egypt.
2. Provide strategic tax advisory and planning services to optimize tax efficiency while maintaining compliance with regional tax laws.
3. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations across relevant jurisdictions and assess their impact on the business.
4. Identify, evaluate, and mitigate tax risks across the organization.
5. Conduct tax audits and coordinate with external advisors and auditors as necessary.
6. Collaborate with internal teams (finance, legal, and operations) to align tax strategies with overall business goals.
7. Advise on the tax implications of cross-border transactions, including permanent establishment, transfer pricing, and VAT/GST considerations.
8. Liaise with tax authorities and advisors in Lebanon and Egypt, leveraging expertise in local tax regulations.
9. Maintain high standards of tax reporting and compliance in collaboration with the finance and tax teams.

Requirements and Qualifications:

1. Professional certification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, or Tax Lawyer qualification is required.
2. Advanced Diploma in International Taxation or Chartered Tax Adviser certification is highly preferred.
3. Minimum of 7 years of experience in the GCC market, focusing on direct and indirect taxation.
4. In-depth knowledge of GCC, Egyptian, and Lebanese tax laws and regulations, including VAT, corporate tax, and transfer pricing.
5. Experience in the media or digital services industry is a strong advantage.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly.
8. Attention to detail and ability to manage tight deadlines.
9. Proficiency in Arabic is mandatory.
