TAX and Audit Manager

Planning and preparing the accounting for the annual audit report is the main responsibility of the position. Taking part in the FIRS audit or investigation and supplying the necessary data and documentation regarding the questions posed. Overseeing the group costing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable BPO function. Collaborating with financial institutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Compiling and completing monthly VAT returns for different Nigerian businesses.
• Using the monthly VAT declaration mentioned above, make the necessary adjustments to sales and purchases. This also covers the local GRN entries made in order to modify the gross margins.
• Processing monthly operational transactions and ensuring that financial entries are updated.
• Compiling the yearly financial data for management's evaluation and recommendations on profitability.
• The financial module is processed and the last modifications are made in light of the review mentioned above.
• Completing the annual accounts in order to submit them to FIRS.
• Getting non-operational companies' accounts ready and submitting them to the CAC.
• Making plans to periodically undertake the audit or inquiry required by FIRS and respond to their inquiries in order to finish it.
• The management of accounts payable and receivable, including responding to their questions and providing clarifications when necessary.
• Keeping the project accounts up to date as managed by my group.
• Addressing any questions that may come up when creating costing sheets for the group companies.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• M.Com. or B.Com.
• Minimum of Five (5) years or more of experience in accounting, finance, auditing, and taxation.
• It is preferable to have work experience in Nigeria or Africa.
• Experience with IT and ERP (Orion) is preferred.
