About The Role

Create a clean and orderly environment for our guests that will become a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening our reputation.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

1. Measure, make or alter uniforms for new employees.
2. Take care of basic alterations requested by guests.
3. Perform timely repairs on all items of uniform, linen, and upholstery.
4. Ensure that all linen and uniforms are repaired before issuing them to staff.
5. Inform the HK Manager to replenish sewing supplies.
6. Repair and maintain uniforms for all hotel employees.
7. Attend behavioral and vocational training in own and related work areas to enhance skills and develop multi-functional capabilities.
8. Keep a detailed record of the daily work.
9. Convert discarded linen into usable items for re-circulation.
10. Organize and take inventory of all fabric materials.
11. Keep the tailoring area clean and tidy.
12. Assume duties and tasks assigned by the HK Manager.
13. Issue & provide uniforms to staff in a timely manner.
14. Keep accurate records of all employee uniform usage.
15. Accountable for uniform & sales item inventory.
16. Repair uniforms & clothes upon request.
17. Set all uniforms according to the department.
18. Count soil uniforms and prepare the laundry gate pass for washing.
19. Coordinate with the Manager on supplies/ordering to complete designated tasks.
20. Maintain organization and cleanliness of the Uniform Office.
21. Track uniforms through an Excel database.
22. Report maintenance problems in the Uniform Office immediately to Management.
23. Assist Housekeeping department & Laundry when needed.
24. Wash, dry, and press uniforms during low occupancy times.
25. Ensure lost & found items are returned to the Security office.
26. Be familiar with hotel facilities, housekeeping chemicals & equipment.
27. Ensure hotel security is protected by following the proper procedures.
28. Be knowledgeable about Health & Safety, OPERA, MSDS & PPE.

Experience & Educational Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Tailoring certification or completion of an apprenticeship is a plus.
3. Proven experience as a tailor (2+ years preferred).
4. Expertise in machine and hand stitching.
5. Strong knowledge of fabric types and garment construction.
6. Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
7. Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
8. Customer-oriented and friendly.
9. Prioritization and time management skills.
10. Ability to work quickly without compromising quality.
11. Ability to stand for long periods and work with sharp tools and sewing machines.
