Systems Engineer

Job Description

As a Systems Engineer, you will lead and participate in a variety of tasks related to Satellite Systems. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Developing and maintaining system requirements from the mission level down to major subsystems
2. Conducting mission design trade-off studies
3. Developing performance budgets and design reports
4. Supporting mission development and analysis
5. Developing and maintaining Interface Control Documents
6. Reviewing subcontractor design materials for compliance
7. Engaging in satellite modeling using an MBSE approach
8. Developing test procedures and overseeing their execution
9. Verifying and validating activities for the overall mission
10. Participating in all program reviews
11. Supporting satellite assembly integration and testing
12. Attending test reviews and supporting in-orbit tests
13. Writing satellite procedures and operations manuals

Hard Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in a relevant field
• Experience with LEO/MEO satellites and sub-systems
• Understanding of space environment and orbit mechanics
• Aerospace systems and engineering fundamentals
• Testing of satellite subsystems
• RF systems testing
• Qualification and acceptance testing of new designs
• Use of models and simulation software
