System Engineer/Administrator (On Behalf of Client)

We are partnering with UAE Federal Government Entity to help fill the following vacancy: System Engineer/Administrator

This is a full-time position that will be directly employed by our client, not Whiteshield. Our role is solely to assist in the recruitment process—further details will be provided upon the successful shortlisting of applicants.

The System Engineer/Administrator is responsible for managing activities related to domain controllers within the Project. This role emphasizes scripting and automation to optimize system administration and enhance performance in Windows server environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain scripts for system administration using tools like PowerShell and Python.
2. Manage and maintain domain controllers and related systems within Windows environments.
3. Implement and monitor system security measures, including access control and vulnerability management.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
5. Collaborate with other teams to align infrastructure solutions with organizational requirements.
6. Perform regular audits of systems to ensure compliance with security and operational standards.
7. Develop documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
8. Optimize system performance through proactive monitoring and adjustments.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Experience in system administration, particularly with domain controllers and Windows Server environments.
2. Knowledge of system security practices such as access control and vulnerability management.
3. Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
4. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
5. Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or MCSA, are preferred.
6. Understanding of network protocols and services such as DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
7. Ability to develop automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
8. Arabic Speaking and Emirati an advantage.
