System Engineer

We are currently seeking an energetic LSNAV and infrastructure associate with a demonstrated history of successful IT projects and support.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Acting as the Technical Lead and SME for the EUC Lead with working on priority tickets, deep dive issues and driving problem management within the team getting to the heart of the issue and nailing the basics every time.
2. Define, develop and maintain all EUC Configuration Item (CI) data and to provide accurate information for risk assessment and incident resolution.
3. Ownership of the EUC Asset Management (Software and Hardware) lifecycle and show measurable improvement to current ways of working.
4. Develop and promote the value of Asset Configuration, processes and procedures within the organization to maintain compliance and reduce risk.
5. Implement effective processes and controls for maintaining the configuration management system, whilst maintaining its integrity and security.
6. Maintain accurate inventory records for current stock levels and ensure proactive management of stock to deliver to time and quality to our internal customers.
7. Understand all software inventory items and their licensing issues and provide the appropriate advice and guidance to the EUC Lead.
8. Ensure all EUC software license orders, renewals and contracts are managed accurately and efficiently in line with Software Asset Management (SAM) processes and procedures.
9. Propose/agree interfaces with other management processes/team including Problem, Incident, Request and Change, Infrastructure Services, Delivery and Product teams.
10. Maintain compliance with the agreed service and change deliverables as well as risk and security policies and procedures.
11. To own the progress of the call from inception to resolution and keep customers informed of the progress of their reported incident and requests.
12. Ensure that incidents and requests are handled according to EUC Services SLAs.
13. Guarantee that the end-to-end ownership of issues is managed to the satisfaction of the customer.
14. Mentoring other EUC Engineers in the team, acting as an internal escalation point and coach to junior members of the team.
15. Manage your Stakeholders to ensure the provision of first-class user support.
16. Maintain a close working relationship with other operational support teams within Service Operations Priorities and escalate problems based on the business impact and reported problems.
17. Regularly report the current status of the EUC Services and support status Identity and pursue new ways to improve the efficiency and performance of the EUC team.
18. Work on call as part of a rota when required.

Your Profile: The ideal candidate will have a distinctive combination of technical proficiency and a deep understanding of the retail sector. (Hybrid role of ERP & Infrastructure). 5+ years of proven expertise in LSNAV and Infrastructure. Track record of delivering LSNAV projects and handling extensive support requests. Robust technical skills complemented by insights into the retail industry. Self-motivated and dedicated to meeting deadlines.
