10+ years experience in Oracle database, with at least 5+ years with databases on multiple platforms.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  1. Perform all aspects of SQL and Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance.
  2. Ensure the availability, performance, and security of Oracle databases within the Oracle, WebLogic, and Java environment.
  3. Data modelling and database design.
  4. Maintain production and development test environments including database refresh, upgrade, and migration activities.
  5. Implement all access control to the database, considering security, efficiency, integrity, ownership, and redundancy concerns.
  6. Develop stored procedures and/or triggers.
  7. Administer a variety of database systems, such as Microsoft SQL Server and other Database Management Systems (DBMS).
  8. Develop and enforce database administration and user standards and procedures; audit, modify, and amend data in systems using SQL commands.
  9. Review technical designs, reports, documentation, and other materials produced by staff; create and maintain high-level reporting statements and optimize database performance through tuning activities such as query optimization, index creation, and system monitoring.
  10. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal database response times and efficient resource utilization.
  11. Develop and implement robust backup and recovery strategies to protect critical data and ensure high availability.
  12. Conduct regular database backups, perform recovery procedures, and test backup integrity to minimize data loss and downtime.
  13. Design, develop, and implement Oracle technical solutions based on requirements.
  14. Provide expertise and guidance in the configuration and customization of Oracle EBS applications.
  15. Collaborate with functional associates and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  16. Develop and enhance integrations between Oracle EBS applications using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and other integration platforms.
  17. Create custom reports and perform data analysis.
  18. Utilize Oracle Analytics Cloud to build interactive dashboards and derive meaningful insights from data.
  19. Leverage strong knowledge of standard Web Services to integrate and extend for Oracle Fusion applications.
  20. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Oracle EBS applications and integrations.
  21. Stay up to date with the latest Oracle technologies, tools, and best practices and share knowledge with the team.
  22. Assist in system integrations with other applications as required.
  23. Provide technical support to end-users and assist with issue resolution.

In-depth knowledge of Oracle Fusion ERP modules, depth knowledge of Oracle EBS function & gap analysis, good understanding of Oracle business process workflows, strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript. Oracle certifications in relevant areas would be a plus. Good understanding of standard Web Services and their integration capabilities, solid understanding of Oracle applications and their underlying data models. Need to be able to do configuration, testing, lead data migration, and integration activities from legacy systems to Oracle, depth knowledge of system configuration, depth knowledge of EBS implementation.

Key area of experience:

  • Experience performing all aspects of Oracle database administration (installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance), ensuring availability, performance, and security within the Oracle, WebLogic, and Java environment.
  • Experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Oracle database (12c, 19c & 21c).
  • Experience on Oracle 12c & 19c RMAN, Data Guard, ASM, Standby Database setup and management.
  • Expertise in Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard, and Oracle stand-alone administration.
  • Knowledge & experience on different backup methods and backup tools.
  • Experience analyzing, tuning, monitoring, and optimizing performance for Oracle databases.
  • Experience collaborating with development and infrastructure teams on database-related support, including troubleshooting problems and providing technical guidance on database design, schema changes, and performance optimizations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong aptitude to learn and adapt to technology.
  • Effective project management, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels in an organization.
